How to Make a Teammate an Admin or Revoke Admin Access in Fireflies

As your team grows, you may need to give teammates admin access or remove it based on role changes. Fireflies makes it easy to make someone an admin or switch them back to a non-admin when needed.
Only Admin or Super Admin can make or remove admin access.
Changes are applied instantly and update what a teammate can manage in the workspace.
🚀 Navigation
Option 1: From home dasborad
Log in to your Fireflies account and click Team in the left sidebar.

Option 2: From Settings
1. Open your Fireflies web app and click on Settings in the main navigation menu.

2. From the left panel, click Members and groups. By default, you’ll land on the Members tab.

⭐ How to Make a Teammate an Admin
1. Make sure you’re on the Members tab.
2. Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find the teammate you want to deactivate.

3. Hover over the member you want to give admin powers and click Make Admin.

The teammate will be granted admin privileges immediately. You will also see a confirmation saying Successfully changed role to admin.
🚫 How to Remove Admin Access from a Teammate
Remove admin access to change a teammate back to a regular member.
1. Make sure you’re on the Members tab.
2. Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find the teammate you want to deactivate.

3. Hover over the member you want to revoke admin access and click Make non-admin.

The teammate will no longer have admin access and will continue as a regular user.
You’re all set — admin roles have been updated for your team. You can manage access anytime based on your team’s needs.

For managing teammate access, you can also deactivate or reactivate users when needed.
